President of The Prem Rawat Foundation.
Born in Malibu, California, Daya is the third child of TPRF’s founder, Prem Rawat, and his wife Marolyn. Since early childhood, Daya has had the privilege of traveling extensively, visiting cities and villages in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia. As she grew up, she cultivated a great respect for people as individuals. Her experience with different cultures has provided her with an understanding that the need for individuals to experience dignity, peace, and prosperity is universal. Daya shares her father’s interest in aviation, and in February 2013, she acquired her private pilot’s license for small multi-engine airplanes. She is currently working toward her instrument and commercial ratings. She hopes to use this skill in the future to help bring the founder’s message of peace to remote corners of the globe. Daya began writing songs and singing publicly as a teenager. Since then, she has performed for audiences large and small on four continents. Passionate about The Prem Rawat Foundation since its inception, Daya has been involved in many different aspects of the Foundation. As president, she is committed to developing a strong and effective management team and expanding the Foundation’s outreach and signature programs: the Peace Education Program and the Food for People program. Daya lives in the Los Angeles, California, area

In her own words, “As demanding as it can be, I’ve loved my work with this Foundation. It challenges me and keeps me in a constant phase of learning. Most of all, it gives me the opportunity to give back to others around the world in a meaningful way. It is inspiring to be part of this unique effort to feed children, help victims of disasters, and most of all, help provide a means for people to discover their own resources for individual peace.

Maria Dawn Ellis
Chair at Peacetalks Oldham
I’ve been interested in Peace over half my life. In my early 20’s, I was told about Mr. Prem Rawat, the Ambassador of Peace. Once I appreciated that personal peace was possible, other aspects of life came into focus.
3 years ago I asked Oldham Council if they would hold the first Peace Day Event, 236 people attended.
The arts can be creative tools to promote any message. I hope to work with young people and women to empower us all to appreciate peace.
Apart from peace, I’m passionate about having a healthier planet. I started going green before it was fashionable! I think the world would be a better place if we were kinder to ourselves and others.
