We are looking to expand our team of volunteers, who provide essential and invaluable support for Peace Partners activities. We would welcome expressions of interest in the following vacancy.

TREASURER

The Treasurer is responsible for the day-to-day running of the charity's finances. The successful applicant will need to have an accountancy background and be able to use accountancy software. The core work involved is the monthly reconciliation of the charity's donation income, and the administration of payments made from the charity's bank account. They will liaise with the Inland Revenue (HMRC), and produce an annual report for the Charity Commission.

PEACE EDUCATION PROGRAMME PRESENTED TO ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

23/8/2025

Trustee David Hughes, who was a member of the presentation team, writes:

“Peace Partners was pleased to support our Partner, The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF), at the Rotary International Annual Conference 2025 in Calgary Canada. Rotary has 1.2 million members in over 200 countries. The convention was attended by 16,000 Rotarians from around the globe and within the House of Friendship, a huge exhibition hall, a Peace Park highlighted projects and programmes for Rotarian peace-building and conflict prevention. TPRF was invited to present The Peace Education Programme at the Peace Park twice, once in a poster presentation and once onstage. The onstage presentation was attended at full capacity, and since then, individuals from the USA, Canada, India, Nigeria, Ghana and Ethiopia have followed up by attending webinars and/or enrolling in the Programme”

Peace-building and Conflict Prevention is one of Rotary's seven areas of focus, making the convention an important venue to present the Peace Education Program.

A further update from Ronnie Cray, who is the PEP Promotion Lead for Peace Partners, and a member of The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) Peace Education Programme (PEP) Facilitator Development Team. He can be contacted by email: [email protected].
  • In July, the full 10-week PEP for the Cornwall County Council's substance-misuse group was completed. The course was delivered each week via Zoom to a local room for the attendees in Cornwall. Certificates are being sent to participants who completed the sessions
  • In May, the most recent PEP course for potential volunteer facilitators and supporters was completed in May, and further courses are planned for September/October. Please get in touch if you are interested in joining one of these courses
  • Individuals can now contact directly TPRF directly for information about both physical and virtual PEP courses available for communities in their countries, and will be advised on the most appropriate courses. Here in the UK Peace Partners works closely with TPRF to present courses which are registered for in this way. The inquiry email address is [email protected]. Further information can be found here https://tprf.org/peace-education-program/

And a further update from Peace Partners' TPRF PEPEDU team. You can obtain more information about this Educational Settings version of the course from the team by email: [email protected].
  • The PEPEDU team recently hosted a successful information table for guests who attended the recent ‘Wake Up to Life’ event, held in London. They received interest from— amongst others—a Swiss representative who wants to present PEPEDU at a youth wellness conference
  • The team has started attending monthly Europe-wide meetings for PEPEDU volunteers, and are keen to cultivate wider contacts to collaborate in disseminating the course for educational settings
