I retired from a career in Social Work in 2009 and first came into to contact with Peace Partners a few years later. I helped sponsor a conference hosted by the Charity with a donation from my small kayak building business.

In 2022, having maintained my connection with the Charity I realised there was a need for a Finance Trustee, as the post holder urgently wanted to retire from her responsibilities, and so I offered my services and was accepted.

It has not been easy, a steep learning curve! I am getting the hang of it nine months on, and I have just about enough time left for my family and other interests such as playing music and canoeing.
