Peace Partners volunteers attend royal celebration at Westminster Abbey

​Peace Partners joined hundreds of charities at a Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey  to celebrate the difference they make in their communities.

Two Peace Partners volunteers, Chrissie Waite and Tracee Cossey, attended the Service on June 8th for recipients of the charitable awards made by the Benefact Group. In 2020 Peace Partners was one of some 500 winners of a Movement for Good award of £1,000 after being nominated by the public, interested people and supporters who held the aims of the charity close to their hearts. The money has been used to support UK peace education initiatives supported by Peace Partners, especially The Prem Rawat Foundation's Peace Education Programme workshops.

​Amongst the guests at the special service was HRH The Prince of Wales, attending on behalf of The Prince’s Foundation.

Christine Waite, Trustee, said of the occasion "It was an honour and privilege to attend the thanksgiving ceremony at Westminster Abbey. It was humbling, yet very inspiring to be amongst so many people who give their time and energy to charities in this country and to see and hear about some of the work being carried out by charities large and small. I'd like to thank the Benefact Group for their generous invitation for Peace Partners to be a part of this occasion”.
